Game Releases To Look Forward To In October!

This month is loaded with some quality releases. Most of which are highly awaited sequels. From RPGs to Racing, it's also a quite diverse month!

Middle Earth: Shadow of War

To start off the list, Middle Earth: Shadow of War is the awaited sequel to Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. I got the GOTY edition for $12 during a flash sale last year and it was one of the best gaming purchases I made in awhile. I love The Lord of the Rings and it's great to see a game expand on it's universe. The Nemesis system was incredible and made the game so much more enjoyable. Being able to re-encounter an Uruk that killed you and having him talk smack at you before fighting him again blew me away. I'm really excited to see what the sequel has in store for us.

The Evil Within 2

The next sequel in the list is leaning towards the Horror genre. With a spoopy release date (Friday the 13th) this looks to be aiming to surpass the first entry in story, graphics, and all around creepy factor. So far, it looks to be succeeding.

South Park: Fractured But Whole

If you haven't played The Stick of Truth yet it's a game I'd highly recommend it. It's sequel, The Fractured but Whole has the basics of an RPG but with that South Park charm to go with it. If you're interested in getting into the RPG genre this is a great way of doing so. It'll keep you engaged with the outrageous story and comedy that lies within every nook and cranny. If you pre-roder it you'll get The Stick of Truth with it as well!

Gran Turismo Sport

After years of waiting, we'll FINALLY see this generation's Gran Turismo release. While it should've been out 2 years ago, it leaves me with hope that it will be so much better thanks to the extra time taken to improve on the game. To put it in perspective, there have been 4 Forza releases. So let's hope that this can compete for the lost time!

Super Mario Odyssey

If you have a Switch this is 100% a must buy. I, along with millions of other Nintendo fans love Mario and have been awaiting his next big 3D adventure. And it's looking to be a big one. Being able to take this on the go with you thanks to the portability of the Switch is going to make this an incredible experience. I can't wait for release day!

Assassin's Creed Origins

Hopefully the year Ubisoft took off of the Assassin's Creed Franchise will help make this game a success. I'm not a Assassin's Creed fan by any means. Though I enjoyed II due to the Renaissance Italy setting the series never hooked me like it did others. I loved learning about egypt when I was younger so I hope this is a success and isn't riddled with bugs unlike *cough*Unity*cough*.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

The New Order was a pleasant surprise. In a sense most games kinda cheap out on the campaign experience in favor of the multiplayer. Which makes sense because a good multiplayer experience keeps a fanbase around as long as they find enjoyment out of it. Not going that route helped Wolfenstein immensely. The story was fantastic and the voice acting was very well done. That with the mix of the intense gameplay it became one of my favorite FPS games in a long while. Wolfenstein II is shaping up to be all of that and more. I personally can't wait for the release.
